Men tied up during house burglary in east Belfast

Two men have been tied up during a burglary at a house in Bloomfield in east Belfast.

Four men entered the house at Kensington Avenue at about 22:15 GMT on Saturday night.

They tied up the two occupants, before ransacking the property and stealing electrical equipment and cash.

A 23-year-old man, who was in the property, was assaulted and sustained a head injury.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The second man, who was 21, was unharmed.

The burglars made their getaway in a white Suzuki Swift vehicle, which was stolen from the house.
