Car gunman 'threatened children' in west Belfast

Police are investigating reports that a gunman in a car threatened children in west Belfast on Sunday night.

Officers received reports of at least three incidents in the Bell Steele Road and Lagmore Avenue areas.

In each a black hatchback with four men onboard pulled up beside a group of children.

A man, said to be armed with a gun, dressed in black and wearing a balaclava, got out and shouted at the children before driving away.

Police want to hear from anyone who was in the area and who noticed a black hatchback with R plates or who has any other information which could help police identify the men involved.
