Car petrol bombed in Rathcoole estate

A petrol bomb has been thrown into a car in the Rathcoole estate in Newtownabbey.

A hammer was used to smash the window of the car parked in Rathcoole Drive and then the petrol bomb was thrown into the vehicle.

The incident was reported to police at 11:30 GMT on Wednesday.

Police are working to establish a motive for the attack and are keen to speak to three youths in their early teens who were in the area at the time.
