Banbridge flat fire 'deliberate'

Residents had to be evacuated from their homes after a fire broke out at a flat in Banbridge, County Down, on Friday.

Police believe the ground-floor flat at Scarva Walk was deliberately set alight at about 20:40 GMT.

Substantial damage was caused to the property and several properties nearby suffered from smoke damage, however no-one was injured.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
