Arrests after police chase speeding car in Dunmurry
A 22-year-old man has been arrested following a police chase in Dunmurry.
Officers were alerted to a car driving erratically in the Glenbawn area at around 06:30 GMT.
It was spotted a short time later on the Colinglen Road and police began to follow it.
The car avoided a stinger deployment by driving on the wrong side of the road. The driver later stopped in Woodside Drive and made off on foot.
Officers arrested a man on the Bellsteel Road for aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving.
A second man, aged 19, was also arrested by police investigating the incident after a transit van struck a police vehicle which had parked up alongside the abandoned car at Woodside Drive.
A vehicle matching the car involved in the police chase had earlier been reported stolen in the Malton Drive area of south Belfast.
