Fire at cell at Maghaberry jail in County Antrim

There has been a fire at a prison cell at Maghaberry jail in County Antrim.

A member of staff was taken taken to hospital for the effects of smoke inhalation as a result of the fire which was reported at 21:10 GMT on Wednesday.

Police said the fire was brought under control by staff.

The Prison Service said no significant damage was caused. They said the night custody officer had been taken to hospital as a precaution.
