Edinburgh pensioner faces Belfast child sex charge
A pensioner from Scotland has appeared has in court accused of sexual activity with a child in Belfast.
Kevin Dromgoole has been charged with the indecent touching of a person under the age of 16.
The 72-year-old suspect, of Milton Street, Edinburgh, is alleged to have committed the offence at a location in Belfast on Tuesday.
He was granted bail on Thursday at the city's magistrates' court under several conditions.
These include a ban on going within 100m of any schools or parks.
District Judge Fiona Bagnall also ordered Dromgoole to have no contact with the alleged victim.
A further prohibition was placed on speaking to any child under 16 without the prior approval of social services.
The accused was told to surrender his passport and instructed to report to Lothian and Borders Police three times a week.
Dromgoole will appear again before the court in four weeks time.
