Woman threatened in Belfast carjacking attempt

A woman has been threatened during an attempted carjacking in south Belfast.

Shortly after 09:30 GMT on Thursday, she parked her silver-coloured car close to some shops on the Upper Lisburn Road when she was approached by an man.

He threatened her and demanded her car, but was disturbed by a passer-by and made off.

The woman was badly shaken by her ordeal. Police have appealed for witnesses.
