Two men charged over McGeough couple's murder

Two men have appeared in court charged with the murders of a husband and wife in Craigavon, County Armagh.

Hugh and Jaqueline McGeough were shot dead at their home in Legahory Court in March last year.

Malcolm McKeown, 46, and James Carlisle, 31, whose addresses were given as Maghaberry Prison, appeared before Lisburn Magistrates' Court.

They were remanded in custody to appear before videolink at Craigavon court on 20 April.

A detective told the court that police have evidence to link the men to both murders.

He said the evidence is a combination of a witness statement, CCTV footage and telephone records.

A 19-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident has been released.
