Omagh man in court on attempted murder charge
A thirty-six year man has appeared at Dungannon Magistrates Court in relation to a charge of attempting to murder a woman.
Mindaugas Martinaitis, of Knockmoyle Grove, Omagh, is accused of attempting to murder the victim on 21 March.
He is also accused of unlawfully and injuriously imprisoning her against her will between 23 and 26 March.
A detective constable said he believed he could connect the accused to both charges.
There was no application for bail during the short hearing.
Mr Martinaitis, who had the charges relayed by a Lithuanian interpreter, stared directly ahead throughout the hearing.
District Judge Rosemary Watters remanded the accused in custody to appear by video-link at Omagh Magistrates Court on 17 April.
