Four held over 650,000 euros cannabis haul

Four men are being questioned in Carlow after cannabis with an estimated value of £536,000 was seized by Irish police.

About 57kg of the drug were seized in an operation carried out by the Irish drug squad on Friday night.

A yard on the outskirts of the town was searched. Two vans, two cars and a quantity of cash were also taken.

The men are being questioned at Carlow and Thomastown Garda stations.
