Banking reform, fiscal challenges, NAMA and the impact of the Eurozone crisis will be discussed at a North South Ministerial Council meeting later.

The meeting is being hosted by Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny.

Members of his cabinet will be meeting collectively with the Northern Ireland Executive.

First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness will lead the delegation from the executive.

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Mr Kenny said: "These regular meetings provide an impetus to advancing critical north-south projects and much needed all-island economic cooperation.

"There will be a full discussion of progress across a range of areas of north-south co-operation.

"One week after the Olympic Torch has travelled from Northern Ireland to Dublin, I am looking forward in that spirit to a positive and constructive meeting."
