Fishermen find WW2 shell of County Antrim coast

A World War Two shell has been found by fishermen off the County Antrim coast.

They made the discovery at about 12:50 BST on Monday and brought the device to shore at Portrush.

A cordon was then placed around the shell on the Harbour Road and Army bomb disposal officers were called to make the device safe.

They carried out a controlled explosion at about 15:30 BST and confirmed it was a shell from the Second World War.
