The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service has been dealing with a major overnight fire in the Holyland area of south Belfast.

Seven appliances were called to the blaze in Magdala Street where part of a building had collapsed.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson said call-outs were down 50% on what is usually one of the busiest periods of the year.

The service said that between 18:00 BST on Wednesday and 01:00 BST on Thursday, it had received 95 fire calls.
