Women charged in connection with stabbing of man in Ballymurphy

Two women have been charged in connection with the stabbing of a man in the Ballymurphy area of west Belfast on Saturday.

He suffered stab wounds to his stomach after the incident at his home in Sliabh Dubh View just before 04:00 BST.

The women, aged, 30 and 32, face a number of charges. They are due to appear in court on Monday.

A 48-year-old man who was being questioned has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The 30-year-old woman faces charges of GBH with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

The 32-year-old has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, threats to kill, common assault and witness intimidation.

The 23-year-old man, who was stabbed, was taken to hospital after the attack, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
