Pipe bomb found in west Belfast

A pipe bomb has been found during a security alert in west Belfast.

Army bomb experts examined the device after being called to Moyard Parade in Ballymurphy and carried out a controlled explosion.

Residents nearby were advised to leave their homes. They have since returned.

Army bomb experts have also attended a security alert on the Brownlow Road in Craigavon. A suspicious object was examined and declared a hoax.
