The funeral of the County Tyrone schoolgirl killed in a horse riding accident last week will take place later.

Hannah Wiley, 13, from Artigarvan, died while she was competing at a show jumping event at Eglinton Equestrian Centre near Londonderry last Friday.

Her funeral service will take place at Leckpatrick Presbyterian Church at 14:00 BST after a private service at the family home.

She was a pupil at Strabane Academy.

School principal David Hampton has paid tribute to her, saying she was a very special young girl who excelled both academically and on the sports field.

Derry City Council is taking the lead in investigating what happened.
