A service to mark the disbanding of an army brigade which had its headquarters in County Down will be held on Monday.

Two thousand soldiers of the 19 Light Brigade were based at Palace Barracks in Holywood and in Ballykinler.

About 250 personnel will be on parade in front of around 400 guests for the service.

The Defence Secretary announced the end of the brigade last year as part of a review.
