A man accused of biting a woman on the nose as she waited for a bus in Belfast city centre has been remanded in custody.

Mark Henry Dane was arrested after the 36-year-old victim was attacked on Royal Avenue on 28 August.

She was kicked in the face and bitten on the nose at the bus stop outside Central Library, according to police.

Dane, 29, of Rosslea Way, Newtownabbey, faces a charge of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
