Man charged over west Belfast break-in attack

A 21-year-old man has been charged with aggravated burglary and grievous bodily harm with intent over a break-in at a house in west Belfast.

A woman suffered a broken arm after confronting robbers at her home at Ladybrook Crescent in west Belfast shortly before 05:30 BST on Saturday.

Two men entered the house and threatened the female occupants.

They escaped with a TV and one of the women's car. A 20-year-old man also arrested has been released on bail.

The car was found burnt out in the Lenadoon area.

Meanwhile, a 31-year-old old man arrested after a householder called police at about 07:50 BST to say an intruder was in their house at Norfolk Parade, west Belfast, has been charged with burglary offences.
