Staff threatened in Castlereagh shop robbery

Police are appealing for information after a shop was robbed in east Belfast.

Two men forced their way into The Clothing Bank on the Ballygowan Road, Castlereagh, just after 09:00 BST on Saturday.

The men - who both spoke with foreign accents - threatened staff and demanded money.

They made off with a sum of cash. No one was injured but the staff member was badly shaken.

Both men are described as being in their 30s and about six feet tall.

One of the men is believed to have been carrying a dark coloured backpack.
