PSNI appeal follows approach to child in Antrim

Police are investigating a suspicious approach to a child in Antrim.

It happened close to a primary school on Bracken Avenue at about 15:30 BST on Tuesday, but was not reported to police until Wednesday morning.

A 10-year-old girl had just left the school grounds when she was approached by a man on foot who asked if she would like to come to his house for buns.

The man was described by the child as being elderly, bald, and wearing jeans and a green body warmer.

Anyone who saw a man matching this description in the area on Tuesday afternoon is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000.
