Arrest after man is stabbed in Castlereagh Place, Belfast

A 32-year-old man has been stabbed in the neck in east Belfast.

He was attacked in Castlereagh Place, off Castlereagh Street, shortly after 03:00 BST on Wednesday.

He was taken to hospital for treatment, but his injury is not believed to be life threatening.

A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Police have appealed to anyone who witnessed the stabbing to contact them.
