Police investigate throwing claim at Occupy Belfast

PSNI at the scene

Police officers are at the scene of the Occupy Belfast protest in the city centre.

They say they are investigating reports that a radio was thrown from a window of the building on Royal Avenue, narrowly missing a mother and child.

There are six or seven protesters in the former Bank of Ireland building, which was taken over by the Occupy group in January.

The bank had lain derelict for a decade before protesters took it over.
