Thousands of people have taken part in Halloween celebrations across Northern Ireland, with the biggest event taking place in Londonderry.

The city hosted a carnival parade, followed by a fireworks display, along the banks of the River Foyle.

Meanwhile, the Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) said it was responding to the "usual increase in calls associated with Halloween night celebrations".

However, by 21:00 GMT calls were down about a third on this time last year.

A NIFRS spokesperson said there were "no reports so far of any injuries to members of the public or our firefighters".
