Knife man threatens shop worker on Lisburn Road, Belfast

A man armed with a knife has threatened an employee at a shop on the Lisburn Road in south Belfast.

Police said the man, who is believed to be in his 20s, demanded money and cigarettes but left empty-handed.

He then ran off towards the King's Hall. The incident happened at about 02:10 GMT on Thursday.

The man was described as having short hair and was wearing a black track suit with three white stripes on the arm and hood.
