Pipe bomb was left outside Lurgan house

The police have confirmed that a viable pipe bomb was left outside a house in Lurgan on Wednesday.

Five families were forced to leave their homes for several hours during the alert at Toberhewny Hall off the Gilford Road.

Army bomb officers made the device safe.

It was then taken away for forensic examination.
