Name of Armagh crash victim released

The man who died in a car crash in County Armagh was John Hillis, 65, from Poyntzpass.

A woman in her 30s was injured in the collision involving a van and a car that happened at 17:45 GMT on Thursday at Tandragee Road, Poyntzpass.

She was taken to hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Paul Berry, an Independent Unionist councillor, said the community was "shocked and saddened" by the death on what he said was a busy road.
