Two Dungannon men deny having seven pipe bombs in car

Two men have denied having seven homemade pipe bombs.

Thomas Hamill, 40, and Martin McGilloway, 41, from Dungannon, County Tyrone, pleaded not guilty to having the improvised explosive devices with intent to endanger life on 28 May 2012.

McGilloway and Hamill, also denied a charge of having the bombs under suspicious circumstances.

Both men were remanded into custody. The judge said he would review the case in two weeks time.

He set a provisional trial date in late May.

The charges arose after police stopped a car on the Mineveigh Road, outside the village of Newmills, near Coalisland.
