A Belfast man has appeared in court, charged with raping a woman in County Tyrone.

Colin Crothers, of Glenlea Park, is accused of carrying out the attack in Cookstown on 7 July last year.

The 46-year-old appeared before Dungannon magistrates court, where he was also charged with two counts of sexual assault and one of assault.

The district judge remanded Mr Crothers on £400 bail and ordered him not to contact the woman or any witnesses.

He also barred the accused from entering certain areas of Cookstown.

The case was adjourned until 20 March.
