Cameras stolen from snowbound lorry

Hi-tech broadcasting equipment has been stolen from a lorry that became stuck in snow in Belfast.

The vehicle was stranded at Hannahstown Hill on Friday, but when the occupants returned the next day it had been broken into.

The police said it was specialist equipment with a limited market.

Among the items stolen were Red camera bodies, memory cards, card readers, Arri ultra prime lenses and follow-focus equipment.

There were also Preston follow-focus kits.

This equipment would normally be used in film production.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the white box van being broken into, or who know the location of the equipment.

They are also warning anyone genuinely in the market for broadcasting equipment to be wary of offers from unusual sources.
