Name of 97-year-old killed in Bangor road accident released

The woman who died after a road accident in Bangor on Saturday was 97-year-old Barbara Bullock.

Mrs Bullock, who was from Bangor, was hit by a car at Donaghadee Road, close to its junction with Groomsport Road, shortly after 11:30 GMT.

She was taken to the Ulster Hospital at Dundonald, where she died a short time later.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the accident to contact them.
