Man pulled out of car in Carrickfergus hijacking

A man has been pulled out of his car during a hijacking in Carrickfergus.

It happened at about 22:00 BST on Saturday on the Woodburn Road, after the man pulled into a lay-by to answer a phone call.

The car was driven away and found on fire in the Northland Court area of the town about 20 minutes later.

The driver was taken to hospital and treated for cuts and bruising. His attacker was described as being about 6ft tall and in his 20s or 30s.

He had short hair and was wearing black track suit bottoms, a light coloured t-shirt and a light coloured scarf.
