London Stock Exchange to host Ireland Day summit
The first Ireland Day summit is to be held at the London Stock Exchange (LSE) on Wednesday.
More than 120 executives are to take part in the summit, which will be hosted by the LSE and the international Irish business network Ireland INC.
Tony O'Reilly and Dermot Desmond will be among leading Irish representatives at the opening ceremony.
As of last October, 25 Irish firms were on the LSE's main market.
Panel discussions over the course of Wednesday morning will consider initiatives to encourage trade relations between Ireland and Great Britain.
As part of the Ireland Day summit, Baroness Detta O'Cathain is to be honoured by Ireland INC "for her contributions to Ireland".
