Police investigate rape of woman in east Belfast

Police are investigating the rape of a woman in east Belfast.

The woman, who is in her 40s, was attacked in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It happened near the Holywood Arches on the Upper Newtownards Road between 04:00 and 04:30 BST.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area and who may have seen the woman or anything suspicious to contact them.
