Man seriously injured in Ballyclare stabbing

A man has been seriously injured in a stabbing in Ballyclare, County Antrim.

The 41-year-old was attacked at Clareville Walk in the town at about 03:00 BST on Saturday.

He was stabbed a number of times in the back by an unknown man. He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are described as being serious.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the attack or has any information about it to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
