A bomb alert which led to a number of houses being evacuated in County Armagh has been declared an elaborate hoax.

Army bomb experts were sent to examine a suspicious object on the Laurelvale Road in Tandragee.

Tandragee Recreational Centre was made available for any residents who had to leave their houses.

All roads reopened on Thursday evening and residents were able to return to their homes.
