Man arrested after Cork heroin haul seized

Police in Cork city have arrested a man following the discovery of drugs estimated to be worth 104,000 euro.

The man, who is in his 20s, was taken to Mayfield garda station after a house was searched at Model Farm Road.

Police said drug paraphernalia, heroin with an estimated street value of 100,000 euro and cannabis worth 4,000 euro were seized during the raid.

A spokesman said the search was part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in Cork.
