Polish man Henryk Piotrowski dies in waste bin tragedy

A man whose body was found in a recycling truck in the Republic of Ireland was originally from Poland.

It is thought that Henryk Piotrowski, 43, had been sleeping rough in a bin in Dublin but was alive when the bin he was in was collected by a lorry.

His remains were found by staff at a refuse plant at Ballymount Road, Dublin, on Friday 23 August.

Irish police have been liaising with Interpol and the Polish Embassy in Dublin to contact his relatives.
