A man arrested over a murder in Dundonald in 2004 has been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

David Hamilton, who was in his 40s, was beaten and kicked to death at his flat in the Ballybeen estate in November 2004.

Three men were previously convicted of the murder.

The 37-year-old man was arrested in Bangor, County Down, on Monday morning.

Mr Hamilton worked as a porter at the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald.

He was beaten around the head with a brick and a television during the attack and died several hours later.
