Jason McGovern killing: Second man faces manslaughter charge

A second person is to be prosecuted for the manslaughter of a County Monaghan teenager who was attacked in Omagh.

Jason McGovern, 19, of Tydavnet, was attacked twice after leaving a nightclub on 31 December and found dead hours later at a friend's house.

Six people have been charged over his death.

The Public Prosecution Service has confirmed that Aaron Bradley, 19, of Waterworks Road Omagh, is to be prosecuted for manslaughter.

He has previously been charged with assault and affray.

Another man Mark Donnelly, 21, of Greencastle Road, Omagh has already appeared in court charged with manslaughter.

The six accused appeared at Omagh Magistrate's Court for a brief hearing on Tuesday.

A preliminary enquiry into the case is scheduled to take place next week.
