Police reopen Patrick Sullivan murder inquiry

The police have reopened an investigation into the murder of a west Belfast man in February 1992.

Patrick Sullivan, 25, was a former French Foreign Legionnaire and member of the paramilitary group, the Irish People's Liberation Organisation.

Mr Sullivan was killed after confronting someone he suspected of anti-social behaviour in the Divis area of Belfast.

He was stabbed in the neck and back and died from his injuries.

Another man from west Belfast was convicted of his manslaughter.

Police said they have reopened the investigation after receiving fresh information.
