Man charged after Ballyclare gun incident

A man has been charged with firearm offences after an incident in Ballyclare in County Antrim on Saturday night.

Police were called to what they have described as an altercation between a number of people at Rashee Park.

When officers arrived, the fight had stopped, however a man was seen in possession of a suspected gun and was arrested a short time later.

A 42-year-old man has been charged with four offences.

They include possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrate's Court on 20 December.
