Two arrests in dissident republican investigation

Two people have been arrested in a cross-border operation against dissident republican activity.

A 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were arrested in the Forkhill area of County Armagh.

The arrests are part of an operation between the Police Service of Northern Ireland and Irish police, An Garda Siochána.

Police are conducting searches in the Forkhill area as part of the investigation.

The arrested pair have been taken to Antrim police station for questioning.
