Dundalk: Three men arrested as part of dissident inquiry

Three men have been arrested by Irish police investigating dissident republican activities.

The men, aged in their early 20s to mid 50s, were arrested in the Carrickarnon area of Dundalk, County Louth, on Thursday night.

They are being held in Dundalk police station.

The arrests are part of a cross-border operation with the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).

On Wednesday, the PSNI arrested two teenagers in south Armagh close to the Irish border, and the Irish police arrested a 43-year-old man in Dundalk, also in connection with dissident activities.
