Paschal McAfee murder: Man arrested in south Belfast

A 34-year-old man has been arrested over the murder of Paschal 'Basil' McAfee in north Belfast.

The body of Mr McAfee, 50, was found by his mother at a house in Henderson Avenue, off the Cavehill Road, at about 13:00 GMT on Friday.

Police said he had been stabbed a number of times. The man was arrested in south Belfast on Monday.

Mr McAfee was last seen in an off-licence in Henderson Avenue at about 16:00 GMT on Thursday.

The victim - who had two children - had only recently moved into the area.

It is understood he was originally from Ardyone, also in north Belfast.
