A fire at a house in Newry, County Down, in which a woman from Birmingham died, is no longer being treated as suspicious, police have said.

The fire, at Georges Lane, was reported at about 23:00 GMT on Saturday.

"There is no evidence to suggest at this stage that the death was anything other than a tragic accident," police said.

The woman who died was 38 years old and originally from the Birmingham area. Her name has not yet been released.

Police say they want to speak to two men who raised the alarm, and have appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Monday.
