Pair admit having gun with intent in Garrison
Two men from the Republic of Ireland have pleaded guilty at Belfast Crown Court to having a gun with intent to endanger life in County Fermanagh.
They are Gerard James McManus, 28, of Fernhill in Letterkenny, County Donegal, and Kevin Barry Nolan, 35, of Main Street in Blacklion, County Cavan.
The men had been due to go on trial for the attempted murder of a student policeman in Garrison in November 2009.
A prosecution lawyer told the court this charge would be left on the books.
The pair also admitted having articles likely to be used in the preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.
The court was told these items related to a car, a balaclava, gloves, lighters and soap.
They were remanded in custody for sentencing later this month.
