Two men are due in court on Monday charged with possession of explosives.

The charges follow a security alert at a children's play park at White Rise in the Lagmore estate on the outskirts of west Belfast early on Saturday morning.

A number of items, including a suspected pipe bomb, were removed from the scene.

The men, aged 38 and 25, will appear in court in Lisburn, County Antrim. A 27-year-old man also arrested in relation to the incident has been released.

About a dozen families were moved from their homes during the alert.
