Hijacker pulls woman out of car in west Belfast

A woman has been pulled out of a car during a hijacking in west Belfast.

It happened in Hawthorne Street shortly before 21:00 GMT on Saturday, when a man forced her out of a black Peugeot 3008 and stole the vehicle.

The woman was not physically injured but a police spokesperson said she was left shaken as a result of the incident.

They have appealed for information about the hijacker, who was tall and was wearing a hat and dark clothing.

They said they believed the stolen car was driven past Queen's University later on Saturday night.
